Get a good start

At the start of each game, the "Start" button will slowly fill up. Press and hold the screen at the exact point when the green hits the top and you will get "Perfect! . It's hard to get it right, but even a "good" start will usually earn you a lead. It's easy to hit each other in this game, but this can actually slow you down. It's usually best to go straight and stay straight between obstacles. This is especially important when using hot rod motorboats, which can increase speed when going straight, and seaplanes, which fly when going straight. Hitting hard obstacles, such as rocks, boats and docks, will immediately end the race, so you should always avoid them.
